The Main Pergola Structure

Here it is! The main structure of the pergola is built!

For some people, this would be the end and they would call it finished. But for us it’s not actually done of course. Is anything ever? The main structure is done, and that’s worth celebrating. Hooray! But there’s still more to do.

In the short term we want to increase the amount of shade - there’s a lot of light still coming through those slats. And then there’s lighting. And a few additional decorative elements we're considering. Long term I’d like to plant some vines (in the spring) and style our new outdoor room more. But it’s SO NICE to have the main part of the  pergola built - I love it.
