Shower Cement Board

Once the broken shower was fixed, Mike immediately jumped into putting everything back together. We were desperate to have everything back in full working order as quickly as possible. He picked up a sheet of that cement board/backer board stuff for showers and cut it down to size. He actually had to chip away a few more tiles and a little bit more of the old wall to get everything to fit perfectly, but it was worth the extra effort because it came out great. I’m really proud and impressed at it DIY skills - in the 3 years that we’ve lived here, he’s gone from novice to awesome.

We had to let everything dry completely before doing any tiling. The wait was frustrating but necessary!
