Spring/Summer To-Do List

So much to do, so little time. It doesn't seem like a long to-do list, but we've been so busy this spring (as I mentioned in my garden post), I feel like we're struggling to get anything done at all. I want to balance all the crazy with fun too and it makes for a very full calendar (and a very messy house interior because there are not enough hours in the day!).

Here's my spring/early summer to-do list:

  • X Set up the patio and deck for a long summer of enjoyment
  • X Plant seedlings, dahlias, and raised bed garden seeds
  • X Plant flowers in all the flower pots (including 5 new aqua ones from my birthday)
  • Order mulch, weed the garden beds and spread all that mulch (ongoing and taking FOREVER)
  • X Set up the pool for the summer
  • X Spray the play house
  • Paint the mailbox
  • Stain the deck and touch up the pergola
Mulching is the priority, and at some point on a nice day I'm going to tackle the mailbox. There's just so much to do mulch-wise, it's going to take a while.

A more fun project - the flower pots! I'm really happy with the flower pots all over the deck, patio and porch. It just looks so nice.

Out front it's all shades of aqua pots up the steps this year, which I'm totally in love with.

Slow but steady progress. I'm happy that the landscaping (at least where I've mulched) looks nice and our house looks cheerful and welcoming from the front. It will look even better when I finally get a chance to paint the mailbox...!
