Primed

The bathroom walls have been primed! It's not very exciting visually, but it means that I will finally get to paint this weekend. The walls were in such terrible shape, the spackling process (layer upon layer upon layer) has taken a long time. Priming exposes additional dings, dents and divets that need one more coat of spackle - but there are not very many because my Dad did such a nice job getting these walls smooth. Just a couple final patches here and there, some smoothing with a sponge and we'll be good to paint.

On Tuesday I posted about the new bathroom lights, but you can also see what the un-primed walls looked like. Looking at this photo more carefully, now I want to invest in three of those covered CFL bulbs.
