See those little dots? They are aphids. APHIDS. As in those horrible tiny bugs that suck the life out of any and all plants they can find. I’m blaming the unusually warm spring-like weather we’ve been having this November, as much as we’ve enjoyed it too many bugs are still alive without a deep freeze.
I’ve been spraying the plant with a mixture of Murphy's oil soap and water, but after 3 applications there are fewer in number but are not yet dead. And the leaves are starting to look a little sickly from all the aphid damage.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I don’t want to lose my lemon tree but I also don’t want to use any pesticides.
