Trending: Woodland Nurseries

Despite my best intentions to go for something a little more timeless, woodland nurseries and kids rooms are super trendy in the current fall collections. The silver lining is that there are some very cool items now available that are new to my imaginary wish list. With an unlimited budget I could really take the woodland nursery theme up a notch...

Land of Nod came out with animal pillows, woodland bedding, growth charts, rustic twig mirrors, lantern nightlights, log magnet boards, deer art displays, clocks, animal artwork, and other inspired novelties. I love all of it, though most of it is out of our budget and price range (but a girl can dream right?).

Ikea has an entire line of woodland textiles available. We already have the stuffed animals from Ikea trip in the spring. While we’re not in the market for new bedding, I’m very tempted by the animal tracks rug. It’s just way too cute. If only the nursery was a little wider - a square rug makes little sense in the room, it would be half covered up by furniture.

Then over at Anthropologie, there’s a whole new set of fabulous woodland creature knobs. The finish would match the stag hook we have if I splurged on a hardware upgrade for the dresser...

The one thing we recently did add to the room are a set of woodland animal themed swaddling blankets by Aiden + Anais. We already had a blue patterned set we love and use so much that we had to get another (so we didn’t have to do laundry as frequently). I love the owls, turtles and bees - so cute!
