Chewbeads

I know I’m venturing into new territory here (this isn’t my usual decor stuff!), but this was too cool not to share. For Valentines Day my husband got me jewelry... of the baby-friendly variety. A turquoise Chewbeads necklace. I know these have been all over the internet for a while now, but I’m excited to have my own and I love it. Oliver loves it.

For the non-mommy folks out there, it’s a necklace made of baby-safe silicone that looks pretty on Mom and can be worn while holding teething babies. Because teething babies LOVE jewelry and want to eat it. They rip dangly earrings out of ears and break delicate necklace chains, then put all of it in their mouths. Unsafe, gross and potentially very painful. I love to wear jewelry, so anything that works with babies (like glam stud earrings instead of dangly ones) is awesome in my book.

So I’m very happy with my new chewbeads. I can finally wear a necklace again when I’m out with the little mister. And he really loves to hold and gnaw on it! Win-win.
