Ding Dong!

After almost 3 years, not only do we now have a door knocker, we also have a doorbell. A doorbell! We’re so excited about it that I would welcome some mischievous neighborhood children to ding-dong ditch us.

I had labored under the incorrect notion that all doorbells had to be hardwired. This one, a very thoughtful gift, works through a radio signal. Who knew?! (Well probably a lot of people, but doorbells are not something I had done any research on.) The best part about the radio signal is that we can have additional doorbells for our other doors. Like our side door and even the back door! They even have different ring tones and lights so we know which door it is. How great is that? (If you’ve ever been accidentally locked out of the house by a well-meaning spouse, you would know how handy this is.)
