It's a dream come true and opens up so many possibilities.
We now have a place to overwinter more plants (though delicate things like my citrus trees will still be in the house because they need consistent temperatures). It can be used for transitioning seedlings outside. Potting up my dahlia bulbs and begonia bulbs much earlier in the season so we can get a head start. I can try for early spring plants like ranunculus bulbs that normally can't grow well here. I can keep herbs going in the winter for cooking.
Mike built the whole thing by himself, he gets ALL the credit. I didn't lift a finger on this one. Well except to help guide the greenhouse into the base, with the help of our next door neighbor (it was a 3 person job). Here it is at the end of day 1:
And here it is at the end of the weekend (all the panels are in, it's on the base and there's a door!):
And here it is done (it's now attached to the paver base, all the braces are in place, weather stripping installed):
I had an old wire plant shelf in the basement and I ordered two simple low metal wire shelves from Amazon (wire shelves let light through). The greenhouse is bigger than I thought, so I should probably order a couple more. And I definitely need a small potting bench in here along the back. Possibly some enclosed shelving or a closed bins for soil and tools and such. And of course it needs string lights across the ceiling for nighttime.
The wedge on the left side is going to be planted with perennials - it's impossible to mow and I love the idea of blooming flowers between the greenhouse and the fence. This is one of my to-do's in September once the weather has cooled down a bit - it's really waaaaay too hot to try to plant anything right now.
It's pretty barren right now since most things are in the yard soaking up sun and the little bit of rain we get. Plus it's a million degrees in there right now. It will be potentially crowded in October. Even now I'm trying to figure out what will go in here to try to overwinter. And I have to leave space for spring - I plan to use the greenhouse to start my dahlias and begonias early, harden off seedlings and all that good stuff.
