Spring Things in the Raised Bed Garden

The garden revival is in full swing. Leaves have been raked out. Paths are weeded.

I built the new garden trellis for the peas and beans. I invested in a sturdier one than last year, now that I know I like the way it looks and works, but it didn't come with anchors to attach it to the ground (seriously?!) so I had to improvise with rebar stakes and bricks so it didn't topple in the wind.

Spring peas, snap peas and lettuce has been planted back here. We have a couple of cold nights coming up, so I'm holding off planting bright lights swiss chard for another week (for me it's always a little less hardy than peas and lettuce).

In the greenhouse the flower seedlings are doing well.

In the house the tomatoes and flower seedlings are also doing well. Another week and I'll be moving the tomatoes to the greenhouse to start hardening them off for the garden - just in time too because a few of the seedlings are getting tall.

It's the calm before the storm... just a few weeks before I'll be bringing all the pots out of the greenhouse, planting seeds and seedlings...
